As they were climbing out of Kane Creek in Moab after doing the "Cliff Hanger" trail, Steve and Mark discovered their nicknames for each other... Over the CB they heard a guy asking where Pritchett Canyon was. Mark knew, and offered to show him. He said that he was trying to get ahold of some friends and would get back to them.
A few minutes later he called back saying "Bronco and 4Runner... I need
those directions". To Mark and Steve the inflection in his voice,
and the way he said "Bronco and 4Runner" reminded them of Boris Badinoff
on the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon saying "Moose and Squirrel"... so Mark
suggested they go by Moose and Squirrel... Steve said "I'm not gonna be
Squirrel"... Well, Steve is much more Moose-like, and since some
people call Toyota's Squirrels (with Squirrel Motors), Mark accepted the
handle Squirrel... and so they shall ever be...
