Dusy-Ershim September 9 - 14 2004

Moose and Squirrel do "Dusty"-Ershim... OR... "Watch out for that tree!"

We spent our 5th and last night within a mile of the end of the trail, just after the final difficult switch backs, at a saddle at 9,800 feet.  Awesome views to the East toward Edison Lake and the Sierra Crest and West toward Huntington Lake and the Central Valley added to the awesome setting of this camp.

The next morning we finished the trail and descended to Huntington Lake...  Steve on fumes, even though he had added 5 gallons on the 2nd day.

This was one of our greatest trips yet...  we can't wait for the next trip!

And, YES, Steve did complete the entire trail after Thompson Hill without engaging his ARB's!  Great job Steve, on doing most of this trail OPEN!

Also, Mark did not push the button to engage his Detroit lockers... not even once! <grin>

Begin Day 6:  Near where we camped the last night, at the end of the trail, 9,800 feet, Ritter, Banner, and the Minarets in the center
